About the Client
Jessica Janniere is the founder of Look Up and Beyond, a movement that helps people rise above adversity and live resiliently. As a certified resilience leadership speaker, trainer, and coach, she’s spent years equipping students, educators, and professionals with the tools to thrive through life’s challenges.
When Jessica approached Carbon & Clay, her existing website was outdated and difficult to maintain. She wanted a modern platform that matched her mission—one that would speak clearly to multiple audiences while being easy to manage long-term.

Jessica’s project was a complete rebuild and redesign of her online home. Her old site on WordPress felt heavy and unorganized, and she wanted something that reflected the professional polish and energy she brings to her speaking engagements.

SEO & Accessibility Foundations: Implemented page titles, alt text, and responsive design best practices for a smooth desktop-to-mobile experience.

From the first homepage mockup to launch week, this project evolved through steady collaboration and care. Jessica provided detailed feedback through Loom videos and Google Docs, and together we shaped the site into something that felt distinctly her—bold, encouraging, and full of heart.
Even small details, like optimizing her mobile typography and integrating her Department of Education vendor badge, were handled with precision to reflect the credibility and impact of her work.
