+ What's the difference between Squarespace 7.0 and 7.1?

In 2020, Squarespace released a new version of the platform called Squarespace 7.1. We complete template setups in both the older version of 7.0 and the more recent version of 7.1. By default, we recommend that all new websites be created in 7.1; however, for Squarespace users who prefer the 7.0 platform, we have that option available. + What is included in my template setup?

Frist, you'll pick the template you love from our shop. We will then select your project week in our calendar. This Template Setup package is a 5-day turnaround time and always starts on a Monday and ends on a Friday of the same week.

Before your project start date, all content must be submitted to us. This includes your written words for your website (we have copywriting prompts available), your images, logo, colors, and fonts. If you're not sure about these things, an additional copywriting or branding strategy session may be added to your package for an additional fee.

On your project start date, we will have a 30-minute Zoom call to preview a mockup of what the homepage of your website will look like set up with your colors, fonts, images and words. After this call, we will get to work setting up the the 5 pages of your site included in this package: HOME, ABOUT, CONTACT and SERVICES (additional/other pages may be purchased at $250/page).

We will deliver your site draft to you during your design week for review and you will attend a Zoom call with us on Friday to launch your site!

You will also receive social media launch graphics to showcase your new website and access into our signature Browser to Buyer Method™ so you can continue making sales from your site for years to come!

+ How long should it take me to launch my new site with this template setup package?

We typically book a few weeks in advance, so be sure to contact us now if you're ready to have us set a template up for you! Your project will take place all within 5 days (Monday-Friday). Before your project start date, you will write your website words, compile website content, and send us your brand information. This will all be due one week before your start date. If you need help writing words or solidifying a brand, we can work with you before your project start date to solidify this content.

+ How much does Squarespace cost?

Once your site is built, there will be a monthly or annual fee to upgrade your site with a Squarespace plan. You can view the annual Squarespace subscription prices here. If you have a shop, you will need to purchase the Business or Commerce plan. If you are buying an annual plan, then you will receive a year of Google email address as well.

As a thank you for working with us, you will also receive 20% off the first year of your Squarespace subscription with your template setup purchase.

We find that Squarespace pricing is very similar to other website building options out there. The great thing about Squarespace is that their pricing is all inclusive. This means you won't need to purchase extra plugins, themes, backup, or additional site security as you go.

+ What if I'm not tech-savvy?

That's ok. We will set your template up for you so you don't have to have a single tech-savvy bone in your body! We will also provide easy-to-follow video tutorials that will help you manage and maintain your own website moving forward after we're finished. If you really want to be 100% hands off, you can always hire us for any additional revisions and maintenance needs that may come up in the future.

+ Can I use my brand colors, images, logo, and graphics with your templates?

Yes! With this Template Setup package, we work your fonts, colors, images and words into the HOME, ABOUT, CONTACT, and SERVICES pages of the template of your choice for you. We can either leave the graphics that come with the template or we can remove them entirely for a clean and simple look. We don't work custom graphics into the template with this Setup package. The Setup package is for anyone looking for a simple and LAUNCHED website without having to DIY the template themselves.

If you would like to have a more customized look to your new website, our Template Redesign program is for you. With this program, we will customize and set up the HOME, ABOUT, CONTACT, and SERVICES pages for you as well as 4 additional pages of your choice. This package also comes with a brand development package (or brand consultation if you already have a brand), and we will work your unique brand graphics into the 8 pages of your site for you. The result is a much more customized site with extra features not included in this Setup package.

+ Can I add an eCommerce shop or blog section to my new site?

You sure can! We walk you through how to set up a basic shop page and your products in our customization tutorials. Squarespace comes E-commerce ready - no need to install any additional plugins. If you would like to have us set up a shop for you, we can do that for an additional fee. Please inquire with us about pricing for your specific project.

+ Do I need to purchase anything additional to launch my website?

ESSENTIAL: SQUARESPACE PLAN
When we are done building your site, you will need to purchase a paid Squarespace plan in order to launch your site. The good news is that when you purchase a package with us, you will also receive 20% off your first year of Squarespace. You can view Squarespace plans and prices here. We recommend the business plan for most sites. If you have questions about this, just contact us here.

OPTIONAL: CANVA PRO
We will be using Canva Pro to create graphics for your new website. If you would like to customize any of your pages further after your project is done, you may wish to have a Canva Pro account as well, but this is not necessary to launch and manage your site.
OPTIONAL: EMAIL MARKETING
If you would like to add email marketing into your site, you will need to set up a CRM that automates and collects emails for you. We show you how to set up an email collection process through your website, some options are free and some are paid. But keep in mind that if you want to use a CRM like Squarespace Campaigns, MailChimp, or ConvertKit, you will need to pay additional for these. Other options like MailerLite or simply sending email addresses to a Google Doc are free. We can chat with you about these options on our free consult or strategy sessions.

+ What is your refund policy?

Since the templates sold in the shop are digital and unable to be returned, they are non-refundable. As such, you must read the template description thoroughly, review how the template works, and all other necessary linked pages before purchasing. Please do not buy until you have read all of the details regarding this template. We are unable to change to a different template from our shop after your template setup date has arrived.
