A Modern Redesign for a Growing Educational Clinic
Corey Pollard, Executive Director of Ascend Smarter Intervention in Colorado, has been a long-time Carbon & Clay client. Over the years, her Squarespace site grew alongside her business adding new pages, programs, and resources for families and educators.
But as Ascend’s audience and services evolved, their existing website no longer reflected who they had become. With more than 10 pages and over 200 blog posts to migrate, Corey knew it was time for a complete overhaul and an upgrade to Squarespace’s newest Fluid Engine platform.
What We Created Together
This project was one of our most comprehensive collaborations to date — combining design strategy, copy refinement, and a full technical migration.
We didn’t just rebuild Ascend’s website; we reimagined how the brand could communicate expertise and warmth at the same time.

The result is a completely custom experience built from the ground up to mirror the credibility, scale, and heart behind Ascend Smarter Intervention.
The Process
This redesign was a true collaboration between the Ascend team and Carbon & Clay. Corey and her team refined their copy and restructured their content to speak to a more aligned audience.
Once we had the updated content and wireframes finalized, we started with a homepage mockup to lock in the visual direction incorporating rounded edges and a light, balanced layout that mirrored the brand’s professionalism.
From there, we built out each section page by page, ensuring the design, copy, and visuals worked seamlessly together.
Corey provided new professional photography that brought the final site to life showcasing a brand that is warm, credible, and full of personality.
The Result
The final website is a modern, professional reflection of Ascend’s mission and growth. Built entirely on Squarespace’s 7.1 platform, it’s visually fresh, easy to navigate, and simple for the Ascend team to update moving forward.
